The Fair Hall has a gross exhibition area of 10,600 sq. metres (approx. 65 x 165 metres).
The east and west ends are completely glazed and so open up the interior. They invest the building with a feeling of optical lightness and enhance its integration in the landscaped surroundings. The hall can be blacked out if this is desired.
The exhibition and event hall is spanned by an impressive vaulted roof made up of timber rhomboids.
Telescopic stands fitted with seats accommodate 3,000 to 5,000 spectators. For large events a standing audience of 10,200 is permissible.
Partitions, which are stored in mobile wall elements, allow the hall to be divided into a maximum of three sections and at the same time can be used to black these out.
The generously-proportioned foyer, which includes complete service facilities, has a welcoming atmosphere. From here one approaches the conference rotunda through a colonnade. The ceiling construction of the colonnade is also of timber and rests on a series of steel supports. The foyer zone is interposed as a transparent filigree glass construction.
