The company Rostocker Messe- und Stadthallengesellschaft, with over 25 years expertise in events of all types, combines the necessary technical and organisational competence to ensure success. Two separate facilities are available as venues – the Rostock Civic Center (Stadthalle) and the fair and exhibition center, HanseMesse Rostock. Uniqueness is standard in our venues, no two events are alike – versatility is our forte.
The Rostock Civic Center was built in 1979 as a multi-functional event. In its nearly 30-year history it has hosted numerous conferences and conventions, shows and concerts, sports events and television productions, balls and banquets... . A comprehensive renovation was carried out in summer of 2006 including the modernisation of the ventilation and air-conditioning of the function rooms, the expansion of an additional multi-functional area and a complete face-lift of the building’s exterior. As of September 2006, there is, in addition to Hall 1 with a capacity of up to 5,500 visitors, a total of ten additional rooms all furnished with modern equipment and varying in capacity from 30 to 650 visitors.
The HanseMesse, adjacent to the park grounds of the IGA 2003 (International Horticulture Exhibition), comprises the fair and exhibition center, and the conference rotunda. Its technical versatility and modernity make it an ideal venue for fairs and exhibitions, concerts, sports events, conventions and conferences. The fair hall possesses a gross exhibition area of 10,600 m² and is divisible by means of a partitioning wall. An additional open area of up to 20,000 m² is available outside the hall, and a colonnade connects the fair hall with the conference rotunda. Six conference rooms offering a high degree of versatility in usage are available in the conference rotunda, the largest of which can accommodate 304 participants.
Due to the spacious parking area and favourable location with easy access to the A19 and A20 motorways, the journey to either venue is uncomplicated. The proximity to the historic city center and to the seaside resort town Warnemünde provides additional possibilities for organising interesting supporting programmes.
Rostock’s location on Baltic Sea at the mouth of the Warnow River makes it easily accessible to visitors from Scandinavia or Eastern Europe. The airport Rostock-Laage is located only 30 km from the city center of Rostock.
Further information on the facilities, the organisation and hosting of events and our services can be found in our Civic Center and HanseMesse Rostock brochures. We would be glad to send these to you per request.
Rostocker Messe- und Stadthallengesellschaft prides itself not only on its versatility and modern equipment, but also on always striving for perfection and providing comprehensive service.
